KrattWorks PARM & DART – Realistic target system for counter-drone training
In cooperation with KrattWorks, Obsima offers two complementary target platforms, PARM and DART, covering different parts of the drone threat spectrum.
By combining PARM (close-range multirotor threats) and DART (high-speed fixed-wing threats at longer ranges), the user can create a comprehensive training and test environment that reflects current and future drone threats. PARM and DART should be as natural a part of combat training as armour and infantry targets.
PARM
PARM is a robust multirotor platform designed to replicate the behavior of small, fast-moving UAS. The platform is optimized for training against small drone threats (sUAS) operating individually or in clusters.
Use cases:
- Counter-drone training for riflemen, air defence units and C-UAS operators.
- Testing of sensors such as radar, RF detectors, acoustic systems and EO/IR tracking.
- Live-fire training with kinetic effect, for example assault rifle, machine gun or shotgun.

- Replicates the real behaviour of commonly encountered quadcopters.
- Enables repetitive training at low cost.
- User-friendly with quick setup and automated flight.

DART
DART is KrattWorks’ fixed-wing target platform, designed to simulate more demanding and advanced threats than multirotors. It represents tactical UAS systems or fast expendable platforms used for attack.

- Air defense and C-UAS training against fast, maneuvering targets.
- Test activities, including validation of sensor chains.
- Simulation of loitering munitions or higher threat levels.
- Training against drone swarms when multiple threats appear in a coordinated way.
Benefits:
- Cost-effective target system with high speed and great flexibility in flight profiles.
- Can carry various signature devices (IR, radar reflectors, RF modules).
- Ideal for evaluating the performance of air defense systems.
- Suitable for both tactical training and rigorous test campaigns.
